Business support on your doorstepCreated following the merger of the former Euro Info Centers and Centres Relais Innovation, the Enterprise Europe Network is the largest European network offering support to companies, in particular SMEs, created by the European Commission and dedicated to innovation and entrepreneurship. It gathers together more than 600 organizations (including the Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Burgundy) grouped according to transregional consortiums and present in nearly 40 countries.
The objectives of the Enterprise Europe Network:
- To help companies identify commercial, technical or research partners in Europe
- To assist SMEs in developing news products and gaining new markets, ti onform them of activities and possibilities open to them in the European Union
- To offer advice to small companies on technical subjects such as intellectual property rights, standards and European Union legislation
- To act as the interface between company leaders and European decsion-makers, by relaying information from one to the other
Regional contacts close to companies:
SMEs can find the necessary information and assistance for their developement in Europe by contracting their regional rpresentative. In Burgundy, the Enterprise Europe Network is a department of the CRCI, with 7 staff members an working in relation with 5 regions of the Grand-Est sector of France - Alsace, Burgundy, Champagne-Ardenne, Franche-Comté and Lorraine - within the framework of Enterprise Europe Network Grand-Est.
An action plan: partnerships
Partnerships constitute the pivot of the network. Indeed, in order to set up in Europe and remain competitive, a company needs partners in the following areas:
- R&D, industrial or technical partners, offering know-how for the development of innovative products and services, and saving precious time in the innovation process
- Commercial partners able to aprehend local markets and distribution networks
- Technical partners able to integrate the companies technology for an application in other sectors and allowing a lower degree of risk in diversification
Within this framework, the CRCI Bourgogne organizes the business meetings for the 4th Taste-Nutrition-Health International Congress, in order to foster exchanges and partnerships between companies and researchers of various European countries.
