International delegations 2010
A strong Nordic presence at the Taste-Nutrition-Health Congress 2010
[D] A delegation of nordic companies and research centres, in total around 30 participants from 5 countries (Norway, Sweden, Finlande, Denmark and Estonia) will take part in the 5th Taste-Nutrition-Health Congress in Dijon.
Lead by the clusters Kuopio Innovation (Finland), NCE Culinology (Norway) and Vifu (Denmark), the delegation will include large food manufacturers such as the the Norwegian companies Tine and Nortura, Swedish company Oatly, and some of the region’s biggest centres for applied research, such as Nofina (Norway), VTT (Finland) or the Estonian dairy products research centre.
The aim of this mission, which is supported by the Enterprise Europe Network, is to strengthen links with Vitaora and its members and to generate new scientific and commercial collaborations between nordic countries and France in the area of nutrition.
It has been organised following the visit by Vitagora to Northern Europe in the spring of 2009. Organised in collaboration with UbiFrance and the Burgundy Regional Trade Department, this visit aimed to promote the capabilities within the Vitagora network to the nordic region and to identify areas for collaboration with the main players, both companies and public institutions. The countries of Northern Europe have constitued a major centre for innovation in the areas of nutrition and food ingredients since the 1970s. |
